BiotechnologyThere are currently over 90 biotechnology-related companies in Alabama, with more than 12 firms in North Alabama. As part of the Huntsville Metropolitan Area, Limestone County has access to a skilled workforce, and is located near investment companies, a biotechnology incubator and the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology Research.
Available Workforce
There are a high number of skilled workers in North Alabama, whose backgrounds include biotechnology, sciences, engineering, research, and technology. The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology Research both offer extensive career training and education in biotechnology-related fields.
