Carpenter Technology Corporation, headquartered in Pennsylvania, announced in October that the company has selected a site in Limestone County near Athens, Alabama for a new 400,000 square foot state-of-the art manufacturing facility. The facility is expected to provide 203 direct high-wage jobs and 38 indirect jobs when fully operational.
Carpenter’s new facility is expected to be operational in about 30 months and has a total cost of approximately $500 million including remelting, forging, and associated finishing and testing capabilities.
